In this inaugural issue of The Singapore Business Stories, we take a closer look at some of Singapore’s successful self-made entrepreneurs. These are the people who have helped sculpt Singapore into the flourishing business hub it is now.
 
Although not all of Singapore’s entrepreneurs are considered famous, we cannot deny the fact that entrepreneurs, in general, are at the pinnacle of our economic hierarchy. They are, inarguably, the moral fiber of the economy. Singapore’s market is dependent upon the prolific innovation of entrepreneurs. Most often dreamers, avant-gardes, mavericks or renegades, these entrepreneurs have paved the route for a better and brighter future, fighting their way through the traditional constraints of society. If it were not for their audacity, society would have been stuck in a rut of mundane living.
 
Every great company was instigated by an entrepreneur – wild ideas set into motion, all but pushed by their strength of conviction. Being an entrepreneur has no austere clarifications. All it needs is guts, belief in oneself and an unwavering determination to succeed.
